Good plans. Clear terms.

Pointable is a shared space for sizing up work. These terms explain what to expect when you use it.

Draft policies: operator details are placeholders.

Using Pointable

Pointable is provided by Pointable (placeholder operator). By creating or joining a room, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t create or join a room. You can try the separate design demo without creating a shared room.

The service helps teams discuss tickets, vote on relative effort and record estimates. Estimates are your team’s judgement, not a guarantee of delivery time, cost or results. Pointable is currently free to use and has no paid subscription or service-level commitment.

Your room and your seat

Anyone with an invite link can join an unprotected room. If the host sets a password, new participants also need that password. Share passwords separately and avoid reusing a password from another service. You can join as a voter or a visitor. Visitors can follow the session without appearing on the voting board and cannot vote or change shared content. The host manages tickets, controls manual or automatic vote reveal, and records team estimates. When Auto reveal is enabled, scores are revealed once every current voter has submitted a card. Share invitations only with people who should see the room’s contents.

Your seat is tied to an essential browser cookie. Clearing cookies, switching devices or changing the website hostname can lose access to that seat. Room passwords don’t recover a lost seat. There is no account recovery or transfer of host access. Rooms expire after 7 days by default, or after the lifetime selected at creation (1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days). Access ends at expiry, and the daily cleanup removes expired room records. Older rooms created before this feature expire on 31 October 2026 at 18:00 UTC. Keep a separate copy of information you need; you can export estimates from the session menu before expiry.

What you share

You keep ownership of the content you add. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to provide the room to you and the people who join it.

Only share material you are entitled to use and disclose. Don’t submit unlawful, abusive or harmful content, personal secrets or sensitive personal information. Don’t interfere with other rooms, attempt unauthorised access, bypass safeguards or overload the service.

We may restrict access or remove material where reasonably needed to address misuse, protect the service or meet a legal obligation.

Availability and limits

Pointable may change or be unavailable for maintenance, failures or other reasons. We don’t promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage or that the service will meet every need. Keep your own copies and use your judgement when relying on estimates.

To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses or business decisions based on estimates. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Privacy and leaving

Our privacy notice explains how information is handled. Our cookie policy explains browser storage and how to change your choices.

You can stop using Pointable at any time. Leaving or finishing a session does not delete shared room records. Contact hello@pointable.site for data removal or other support requests.

Changes and questions

We may update these terms as the service changes. The latest version and its date will be available here. Changes apply to future use and won’t remove rights you already have under law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction still apply. Contact hello@pointable.site with questions.
